Racing on the Panhandle
Our motor issues at the Rattler set up a week of long hours before our double header weekend.  We got our motor the Monday before the race and had just a few days to run all new lines and get the car ready for a new power plant. Once in Pensacola for the Thursday night practice, we were extremely happy with the car and our new motor. We ended up starting towards the back of the pack and by lap five we were caught up in someone else's mess. The wreck ended our night and started a new project for the next night in Mobile.
We were forced to unload our back-up car and get it ready to run that same night, although we were down on horsepower with our spec motor.  We were able to bring home a solid top-five finish.

With that experience behind us, we learned a lot and are looking forward to a race here at "home" this weekend. The attitude around here is awesome.  We are pumped up after the boss got a long overdue win in Phoenix and with a strong month behind us, we are looking forward to a little time to regroup after this weekend with a few weekends off.

Check back after this weekend's race for some more news and notes.

Thanks

Hey guys,

With another stretch of races, it seems the bad luck might not be all the way out of our systems at Mark Martin Performance. With a win and two top-five finishes though, it might make our night of mishaps at Five Flags Speedway seem to be just a bad night.
