Taking a Break for my Birthday
With a wild night at New Smyrna behind me and some time to regroup at the shop, I think we are ready now more than ever for our next trip to the Florida panhandle. I have really enjoyed our time off though as strange as it seems.  The team has had some time to do a few really fun things the past couple of weeks. I would say of those things a couple of the ones that stand out the most have to be going to a tire test at Daytona with Mark Martin and going fishing with the guys.

First, we all got invited by Mark to go hang out at the speedway while they were out there testing some tires with Goodyear.
I have never been out there when anything like this was going on, so it was neat to see how the Cup guys really get things done. With all of the data acquisition equipment, its no wonder those guys get the cars perfect! That was really neat to be out there to see.

Another thing that sticks out in my mind is our fishing excursion the other night. We decided to take Glenn's boat out and do some night fishing on the inter-coastal.  Even though Eddie was the only one who ended up with anything, we had a blast. The weather was nice and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Now I'm in celebration mode because today (May 7th) is my birthday and I took some time off of work at the restaurant and took some time away from the shop to really get away and have a nice couple of days with my girlfriend at the beach! I’m enjoying myself here with the nice hot sun and cool breeze! I’m really living the dream.

As much as I enjoy this time away, I am really looking forward to getting back in the car. We have changed a few things and updated some others. We are really cranking up our plan of attack for when we go back to the gulf coast. We struggled quite a bit there the last time we visited but we have the bugs worked out and will hopefully have all of our ducks in a row.

I thank all of you for following along and letting me share some of the neat off-track experiences in my life! Stay tuned for more! We will be back in action May 22nd and 23rd for the next round of the Gulf Coast Doubleheader!

Thanks

Hey guys,

It’s been a while since I was last behind the wheel of my Super Late Model, but I am definitely itching to get back in the seat.
