Colangelo Takes Second at Orlando SpeedWorld
Runner-Up Comes Away Second in Season Standings
Jeremy Colangelo has had a busy year running both his Super Late Model and Late Model around the state of Florida.  His most recent race at Orlando SpeedWorld (FL) ended his 2008 Late Mode Season.  Although he was shut out of victory lane, he did provide top-notch consistency that left him second in the final Late Model season standings after finishing in the runner-up spot at Orlando.

“We led the first 70 laps or so,” said Colangelo.  “When Daniel Keene Jr. got to me he jacked me up a little bit and blew by and drove away for the win.  It was frustrating because we have been beat by him a few times this season.”
Colangelo will now turn his focus to his Super Late Model program as he could take a step closer to wrapping up the Sunbelt Super Late Model title with a good finish this weekend at New Smyrna Speedway (FL).

Colangelo has 43 point lead over Tim Russell in the Sunbelt points, while at the same time the Bright House points has Russell with a 16-point lead over Colangelo.  If Colangelo has a solid run and Russell has problems he could walk away with the championship in the Bright House Challenge Series.

“We are going into this weekend hoping to get a win,” added Colangelo.  “We have won a pair of Bright House races and we know it will be a great opportunity to prep for the Governor’s Cup the following week.  We are really impressed with how well we have been able to keep the cars competitive in three different series”

The 75-lap Super Late Model race at New Smyrna Speedway (FL) will be on November 15th.
