Motor Trouble Hinders Colangelo in Blizzard Series
Mobile Top 10 Caps Off Weekend on a Good Note
Going into the third Blizzard Race at Five Flags Speedway (FL), the last thing Jeremy Colangelo wanted to run into was motor problems for yet another race. This season, Colangelo has struggled to get his motor program to run to his exact wants and needs. Unfortunately the issue continued into his June 26th Blizzard race. Nevertheless, he was still able to pull off a 16th-place finish.
“We thought we had everything worked out,” said Colangelo. “Then it was something that was out of control of everyone’s hands really.”

Colangelo and his team were determined to eliminate the problem that had caused them to lose momentum and power during the race. They were also attempting to ensure that they would receive a better finish at Mobile International Speedway (AL) for the third round of the Miller Lite Super Late Model Series.
“We stayed at the track for a couple hours after the race to try to eliminate our problems and get to the bottom of things,” explained Colangelo. “In the end, the problem had been bad fuel – either there was just some trash in it or some water, but it had caused the plugs to misfire.”
Luckily, the team was able to pull together to score a top-10 finish at Mobile, even though Colangelo struggled with the set-up of his car.
“On Saturday [in Mobile] I just couldn’t get the feel and couldn’t get comfortable in the car. We just couldn’t perform the way I wished we would’ve. I think we learned some things during the race and we came back to get a top 10. Although I wish the results would’ve been a little bit better, it was a great turnaround from the night before.”
Colangelo is now focusing his attention towards his next race – the Clyde Hart Memorial 125 at New Smyrna Speedway (FL) on July 3rd.
