Jeremy Colangelo Ready for Florida-Alabama Double Dip This Weekend
With numerous top-10 finishes overwhelming Jeremy Colangelo’s schedule, he’s ready to take on the third round of the Blizzard Super Late Model Series and the Miller Lite Super Late Model Series, hopeful to continue his successful streak.
Colangelo will revisit the Florida Panhandle to take on both series this weekend in back-to-back races on Friday, June 26th and Saturday June 27th at Five Flags Speedway (FL) and Mobile International Speedway (AL).  It hasn’t been long since the Florida native visited these tracks and left with solid top-10 finishes.  Now he’s ready to come back and contend for a win.

“After only a month, I am ready to get back to the panhandle to do some racing.” said Colangelo.
“Things are just different when we race up there – the competition is extremely difficult, the car counts have been great and so far it’s just been an awesome experience. I am really looking forward to improving our efforts from the last time there, and it seems the more we visit those places the stronger we get.”

Although he has done well at these tracks, Colangelo hasn’t always been rewarded with the picture-perfect race days that he has hoped for.  At Five Flags, he had run into problems with a racer’s most prized, important component – his motor.

“Motor issues have seemed to hit this team all year long. We had an incredible season last year with our motor program, but this year it seems to just be haunting us. We feel we've got those bugs worked out in the car and we primarily run in the panhandle and we have been extremely happy with our Volunteer motor in that car. Our other motors haven’t lacked any power here; they have just not been reliable.  Our motor man has changed a few things on his end and we think we will be a lot better off from here on out.”

Optimistic for the future, Colangelo will focus on these two upcoming races, and, as an added bonus, potentially gain experience that will help him in his local efforts at Orlando SpeedWorld (FL) and New Smyrna Speedway (FL).

“We learn so much every time we go to the panhandle – we brought that knowledge the last couple of times we have raced here and earned a pole and a top-three finish.  We were battling for the lead most of the night at Orlando just a couple of weekends ago. I know it’s helping us. The team has really pulled together and stepped up our efforts, and things keep improving all the time.”

Colangelo will return to the Blizzard Super Late Model Series on June 26th at Five Flags Speedway, followed by a Miller Lite Super Late Model Series race on June 27th at Mobile International Speedway.
